On June 8th, 2007 we had the pleasure of meeting author Terri Farley who was visiting our town. Terri was finalizing her latest book "Wild Horse Island" and stopped by to see our miniature horses. While all the horses were of interest to Terri, our newborn colt Pacific Tango captured her heart. Terri stated that this visit added new meaning to the phrase "Hold your horses" !
A former teacher, Terri is involved with improving literacy. She holds memberships in the National Council of Teachers of English, International Reading Association and the National Education Association. Terri lives in Nevada and is an active supporter of maintaining wild horses and against their slaughter for food. You can learn more about Terri and her books at:
